Junior High- Mrs. Campbell

Happy New Year!  Eighth graders are excited to get the year started! There are so many fun and exciting things waiting for them in 2018.

Academically, students have begun solving systems of equations. It is probably the most difficult unit 8th graders will face, and they are rocking it!  This unit will lead us into our geometry unit.

As graduation approaches, so do the eighth grade privileges. Soon the planning for a Great America field trip, dance, clap out, and graduation ceremony will begin. I will be emailing information to you as those dates are confirmed.

If your child is attending Lockport Township High School in the fall please visit https://www.lths.org/ frequently for updated information and forms.

Thank you,

Mrs. Campbell

Welcome Letter 2017-18

Welcome to the 2017-2018 school year!  My name is Kathleen Campbell and this is my fifth year teaching at Taft School, but I have been in the education field for 17 years as both a mathematics teacher and substitute.  I graduated from University of St. Francis with a B.S. in Elementary Education in 2000 and I have endorsements in Mathematics and Social Studies.  I am very excited to be here and I look forward to a great year!

I am married to Bryan Campbell (Taft class of 1992) and we have three children. Ryan (13), Bella (11), and Cole (8) keep us very busy. My husband and I grew up in Lockport and graduated from LTHS. We have since moved to Plainfield, but Lockport is where our families are so Lockport still feels like home to us.

This year I am teaching eighth grade Mathematics and seventh grade Social Studies.  I am also the eighth grade sponsor.  If I will be teaching your child this year, you will be receiving more information from me.

I look forward to an exciting year.  It is always fun to meet new students and learn more about them.  At the end of every school year I always find myself reflecting on the year and realizing how much I learned from my students.  Let the adventure begin!
