Student Services- Mrs. Frank

Welcome to the K-5 Resource Room!  In this room we focus on strengthening our reading and math skills, as well as working organization skills.

A little bit about myself, I graduated from Northern Illinois University and have been a teacher for 15 years.  This is my 10th year here at Taft.

In the unique setting of the resource room all student support is directed by their IEPs, and so therefore all support is individualized.

I work with each student to support them in strengthening the areas that have been identified by the IEP team, whether it be through small group instruction or individual pull-out support, the goal is to strengthen the student’s skills in the areas that they are weaker in.

I use a positive reinforcement token system to promote positive behaviors in my room as well as in the students’ classrooms.  Tickets are earned to be redeemed for prizes on a twice-a-week basis.

I look forward to this school  year and providing a positive learning environment for your student. While each child does have goals that will be working on, I am always available as a support to your student.  My goal is to be a resource and a source of support in addition to the classroom teacher, so I am always open to communication. Please email me at if you ever have any questions or concerns.

Let’s Have a Great Year!
