Connect With Kids
Taft School and its community are using Connect with Kids!
Connect with Kids is a Web site that was designed to help parents and educators help children. Connect with Kids has features such as the Parenting Community, Facts about children’s issues, Character Education activities, Educator’s resources, and Media resources.
The Parenting Community is a way for parents to network with each other by joining discussion forums, asking questions, and giving helpful parenting tips. The Media Resource center offers 10 television programs that are broadcast throughout the year, in addition to various DVD’s and news articles. The television programs are half-hour specials featuring real kids sharing their true stories.
Parents are encouraged to watch these programs with their children in order to initiate discussions on important topics. The resources for Connect with Kids are primarily for grades 3 – 8.
