The following are the district goals for Taft School District 90:

1. ATTENDANCE

1.1 Strive to improve attendance for a healthy environment.

3. FISCAL

3.1 Provide budgetary priorities that ensure that the District has the physical resources needed to improve student academic performance.

3.2 Provide budgetary support to the resources to develop and maintain the District facility and grounds.

3.3 Ensure prudent fiscal expenditure.

4. PUBLIC RELATIONS

4.1 Strengthen communication flow:
(a) Board to Community;
(b) Administration to Board;
(c) Superintendent to Staff;
(d) Superintendent to District.

4.2 Improve media coverage.

5. STRATEGIC PLANNING

5.1 Review School Improvement Plan on annual basis.

5.2 Conduct an annual District Strategic Planning Workshop.

6. FACILITIES

6.1 Improve cleanliness. Strive to provide a clean, safe and healthy facility.

6.3 Liability Issues. Provide walk-throughs.

6.4 Staff Development and Training. Provide staff development and training.

6.5 Long-Range Projects. Review and maintain.

6.6 Life Safety. Review life safety requirements.

6.7 Rental Income. Actively market school facilities.

6.8 Safety. Ensure that security of the facility is at an optimum level:
(a) Review traffic concerns;
(b) Review traffic plan on annual basis.
