Keri Miller,
Social Worker
MISS MILLER - SOCIAL WORKER
“Taft
School
has a social worker who provides services to the students. Services that
the social worker provides include counseling, crisis intervention, support
groups, and connections to local resources. The social worker meets with
some students on a regular basis, but is also available to all the students in
the building to assist with any issue a child may be experiencing throughout
their school day. Taft
School also has a BRIDGES
program. BRIDGES is a program that is provided by the Center for Family
Services. The purpose of the BRIDGES program is to provide mental health
support to students in order to improve educational success. BRIDGES staff
members are all Masters level professionals such as counselors, social workers,
and psychologists. BRIDGES staff will come into the school and work with
students on a weekly basis, at no cost. The social worker and BRIDGES work
together closely in serving the emotional and social needs of our students.
If you
have any questions regarding social work services at Taft school, please contact
Keri Miller at 815-838-0408, ext.137”
