4th Grade- Mrs. Robertson

Newsletter

Dear Parents and Guardians:

Welcome to fourth grade!  My name is Mrs. Lisa Robertson and I am your child’s teacher for the 2018-2019 school year.  I am very excited about the year ahead and anticipate the year to be filled with explorations and great accomplishments.  It will be a year of learning and growth as students, teachers, and parents work together as a team to create the best possible experience for each student individually, and our class as a whole.  Our class will provide an environment where students feel comfortable and confident to learn at the best of their ability.

This will be my eleventh year at Taft, working as a Teacher at multiple grade levels.  I have also worked outside of the district as a teacher, substitute teacher, and a teacher’s aide.  I look forward to teaching fourth grade this year!

In the weeks and months ahead, we will be focusing on many different skills.  With discussions and clear expectations, your student will have a full understanding of application of the practiced skills.  I feel very strongly in the idea of positive reinforcement with clear expectations.  During the school year, our fourth grade class will identify our goals for the lessons being taught, and the behavior that should be used to help reach those goals.  They will work hand-in-hand to help your child have success.

To help get better acquainted with your child, I ask that tonight you start the year off with the first homework assignment; In a million words or less, tell me about your child.

If you should have any questions, please feel free to email me at l.robertson@taftsd90.org.  I check email periodically throughout the school day.  I look forward to reading what you write about your child!

Sincerely,

Lisa Robertson
